Bamboo Series

I love to abstract bamboo shoots and clumps.

There is an element of mystic, litheness and lushness about bamboo shoots that I have depicted in my works. They hint at paradise and serenity with their varying shades of green and depth areas. They also represent longevity, good health and friendship.

I took a fancy to the harmony of contrasting colors in a lorikeet and came up with these two works. Mostly used the palette knife.
